The Swedish Energy Agency is a state authority that operates in various sectors of society to create conditions for an efficient and sustainable energy use and a cost-effective Swedish energy supply.

Our collaboration
Together with The Swedish Energy Agency we create the program objectives for the program Vindval. The program strategy makes sure that that the research  this program aims to fund matches and satisfies the underlying real needs on local level when vetting and deciding on wind power establishings. To reassure the progress and success a coherent montoring and evaluation plan is created, serving the leadership group with signals on achievements linked to the program objectives.

The Swedish Board of Agriculture

The Board of Agriculture is the Government's expert authority in matters of agri-food policy, and is responsible for the agricultural and horticultural sectors.

Our collaboration
We provide LEADER-groups education, coaching and methods for creating focus and shared perspectives amongst stakeholders in countryside development work. Based on this work we have two workshops for any strategy group espnsible for countryside and regional development efforts.

Our collaboration
We help The Consumer Agency to educate and coach handling officers at County Administrative Boards in program strategy work, to find realistic obejctives and learning strategies.

The Swedish EPA
Advancing the Swedish national environmental goalsnaturvardsverket
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency is the national agency for environmental protection and nature conservation as well as outdoor recreation and hunting issues. Its key tasks are to present proposals for environmental policy and legislation to the Swedish Government and ensure that environmental policy decisions are implemented.

Our collaboration
We work with the Environmental Objectives Council to develop and implement a method to identify real needs crucial for goal achievment. We look at research program and link the results to those needs both at the design of the programs and after they are completed.

A book has been issued by The Swedish EPA on this work.

Together witht he International Department we conduct a strategic analysis to develop a tool that will increase the benefit and values from taking part in different EU-projects and guarantee that decisions for participation will be aligned with real needs in the city.

Organizational learning in a strategic plannationalhispanic
The National Hispanic University was established in 1981 to enable Hispanics, other minorities, women, and others to acquire an undergraduate degree or certificate using a multicultural educational experience to obtain a professional career in business, education, or technology.

Our work
OpenEye worked with the university strategic planning committee to develop key university goals based on a root cause analysis of the barriers to optimal student, faculty, staff and organizational performance. OpenEye then developed an organizational learning process for implementation within the university to track progress on the strategic plan.

Kaiser Permanente
Selecting the Community Benefit Program's health prioritieskaiser
Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Community Benefit Grants Program responds to requests from organizations that provide health-related service throughout Santa Clara area communities.

Our work
In collaboration with the Community Benefit & Community Health Manager as well as dozens of health professionals in Santa Clara County, OpenEye facilitated the selection of the Community Benefit Program's health priorities for giving in 2008-2010. We then supporting the grant making process through a revision of the application and evaluation forms used by the program so that grantee impact could be better assessed.
California State University Monterey Bay
Developing an ambitious and still feasible ten-year strategic planmontereybay
California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) was established in 1994 as the 21st campus in the California State University system. Beginning with a student enrollment of 654 at its founding, CSUMB has grown to an enrollment of 4,080 students in thirteen years.

Our work
OpenEye provided facilitated the ten-year strategic plan for CSUMB. Through intensive planning sessions designed to identify and prioritize the needs of the University, OpenEye worked with faculty, staff and university administrators to develop an ambitious and feasible strategic plan that establishes clear priorities and an implementation plan for the next ten years.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education consistently ranks among the top schools of education in the nation. U.S. News & World Report's ranking of graduate programs for 2007 (Best Graduate School Choices for 2007) rated the School seventh in the nation and ranked six of its core departments and programs among the top three in the nation.

Re-vitalizing the strategic plan stanford_
Stanford University School of Earth Sciences is one of three schools at Stanford awarding both graduate and undergraduate degrees. It is composed of four departments and three interdisciplinary programs. Research and teaching within the School spans a wide range of disciplines.

Our work
OpenEye collaborated with the school's dean and associate deans to assess the level and quality of services provided by the school to its constituent departments and programs. The results of this work were leveraged to re-vitalize the school's strategic plan and implement practices within the school designed to help staff realize important organizational goals.

VINNOVA Stanford Research Center of Innovation Journalism
Enhancing program impactvinnova_stanford
VINNOVA Stanford Research Center of Innovation Journalism is a joint venture of H-STAR institute (Human-Sciences Advanced Research institute) of Stanford University and VINNOVA (the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems). This research center at Stanford pursues human-sciences and technology research in areas that will impact and promote the development of innovation journalism, i.e. journalistic coverage of innovation processes and ecosystems.

Our work
OpenEye is a partner with the Center in developing a needs-based strategic plan that enhances the impact of the Innovation Journalism Fellowship Program. Each year selected journalists participate in workshops and conferences at Stanford and collaborate with newsrooms across the U.S. in covering innovation. The program has so far hosted journalists from Sweden, Finland, and Pakistan.
